The Center has opened in Turkistan on Republic Day, creating a space for children and teenagers to explore their creativity and passion for knowledge.
The opening ceremony was attended by Turkistan Akim Azimbek Pazyilbekuly and representatives of the city’s cultural community. The akim noted that the center will become an important cultural hub, inspiring young people and fostering artistic growth in the region.
Located on K. Baisseitov Street, the building was completely renovated within just three months after the contract between the contractor and the customer was signed in June this year. The facility was updated and equipped to meet modern standards.
The Art Center hosts 36 creative clubs — from robotics and English language to Yasawi studies, dance, and handicrafts — attended by 1,460 children.
In total, Turkistan has six extracurricular education institutions, including the Palace of Students, Akzhaiyk Music School, the Children’s Music School, and the School of Crafts. More than 60 clubs now involve 3,429 students, while around 50,000 schoolchildren – 85.7% of all students in the city – participate in extracurricular programs.
