Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov reported on the export potential of grain crops at a government meeting. He noted that the volume of grain produced fully covers domestic demand.

In addition, export potential will also be maintained. As is known, grain exports for the past season amounted to 13.4 million tons, which is 47% higher than the previous marketing year, supported by transport subsidies.

“We plan to maintain this level of exports, and therefore, the measure has been extended until September 1, 2026. I would like to note that this year we began supplies to several non-traditional markets, such as Belgium, Portugal, Poland, Norway, the United Kingdom, Vietnam, the UAE, and countries of North Africa. In addition, supplies to Iran, Azerbaijan, Armenia, as well as Georgia have been resumed,”

— said Aidarbek Saparov.

The minister emphasized that demand for Kazakhstan’s grain remains high. From the new harvest, around 2.2 million tons of grain have already been exported — 21% higher than the same period last season.

In addition, as part of the President’s instructions to stimulate exports of high value-added products, five investment projects for deep grain processing are being implemented. These projects will withdraw an additional 2.5 million tons from the market.
