The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan, Q Group, and Arizona State University have signed an agreement to establish the University of Innovation and Technology powered by Arizona State University (InnoTech) in Almaty. The signing took place during the C5+1 Summit in Washington, D.C.
The initiative reflects Kazakhstan’s strategy to strengthen international education cooperation and foster innovation. InnoTech will serve as a world-class academic and research hub offering programs in engineering, IT, entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, and sustainable development.
A key feature of InnoTech will be dual degrees — both Kazakh and American diplomas from Arizona State University – enhancing graduates’ global competitiveness.
“In collaboration with Arizona State University and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, we are opening a new chapter in Kazakhstan’s education development. InnoTech will symbolize the integration of advanced technology, science, and entrepreneurship in modern learning,” said the head of Q Group.
Undergraduate and graduate programs will launch in 2026, with a modern campus in Almaty being developed as a space for innovation, research, and startups.
