The 17th International Congress of the Kazakh Association of Reproductive Medicine (KARM) opened in Astana under the theme "Modern Approaches to Infertility Treatment. ART: Present and Future." Vice Minister of Health Timur Sultangaziev emphasized that strengthening reproductive health remains a national priority.
Since 1995, IVF programs in Kazakhstan have resulted in approximately 45,000 births. Currently, 32 IVF centers operate nationwide, including 19 under the Compulsory Health Insurance system. The state program "Ansagan Sabi," launched in 2021, has already led to the birth of over 11,000 children.
The congress provides a platform for domestic and international specialists to exchange expertise. This year’s event marks the 30th anniversary of ART in Kazakhstan and brings together experts from over 25 countries, including Australia, the US, the UK, China, and Russia.
“Infertility is not only a medical problem, but also a social one that affects the lives of families. We will continue our systematic work to strengthen reproductive health and develop the industry,” the Vice-Minister said.
