A major project to develop tourist infrastructure has been completed in the Burabay State National Natural Park, aimed at creating comfortable and safe conditions for visitors while preserving the area's natural environment.
As part of the initiative, seven scenic viewpoints have been built across the park, each carefully integrated into the natural landscape. The new platforms offer panoramic views of the region’s mountains and lakes while helping to reduce the environmental impact on local ecosystems.
The project focuses on promoting responsible tourism, allowing visitors to enjoy Burabay’s landscapes without harming nature. Modern stairways, viewing decks, and rest areas help prevent soil erosion and protect local vegetation.
Each viewpoint has its own concept and provides a unique perspective on the “Pearl of Kazakhstan”:
Ayutas Rock – viewing deck with a kumai tazy sculpture, stairs, info boards, and a scenic telescope.
Kebistas Rock (Shoe Rock) – site with gazebos, a fire pit, and a sculpture overlooking pine forests and the lake.
Bolektau Mountain – central platform with a golden eagle art piece, stairways, swings, and viewing telescopes.
Mahabbat Alany (Valley of Love) – romantic area with soft landscaping, popular for photo sessions.
Moynak Cliffs – active recreation zone with a rope park and gazebos.
Maksimka Rock – three interconnected viewing platforms with sculptures, picnic areas, and telescopes.
Imanay Bulagy (Imanay Spring) – compact viewpoint with stairs, benches, and a telescope.
The project highlights how modern tourism and environmental stewardship can go hand in hand, providing comfort for visitors while protecting natural resources.
The development is part of the Comprehensive Plan for the Burabay resort zone for 2025–2029, which aims to expand tourism, transport, and utility infrastructure to strengthen Burabay’s status as one of Kazakhstan’s leading domestic travel destinations.
