Kazakh filmmaker Robert Kun has been chosen to direct Armor of God: Ultimatum, the fourth installment of Jackie Chan’s iconic action franchise. The actor personally selected Kun for the project, according to Salem Entertainment.
“It is a great honor for me to be the director leading an international project of this scale. I still can’t believe I’ll be working side by side with the man whose films we’ve admired since childhood. Our entire team aims to make this project a breakthrough for Kazakhstan’s film industry — we plan to involve local specialists. It’s a big responsibility, and we hope for the support of our audience and fellow citizens,” said Robert Kun.
Kun is the head of Action Studio Kun-Do and is known in Kazakhstan for his roles in Rustem Omarov’s MEOW, OFFSIDE, and Patrol: The Final Order.
With over 20 years in the international film industry, he has worked as an action director on projects by Disney, Paramount, 20th Century Fox, Universal, and MGM. His credits include Day Watch, Wanted, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, Ben-Hur, He’s a Dragon, Spacewalker, Major Grom: Game, and all films from The Last Warrior franchise.
Earlier, Salem Entertainment announced that Kazakhstan would host the filming of the fourth Armor of God movie starring Jackie Chan.
