An exhibition titled “Continuity of Traditions: Heritage of the Ancestors” by the Almaty Museum Association opened in Amsterdam on October 30. The event brought together diplomats, representatives of international organizations, cultural figures, and media.
The exhibition is organized with support from the Almaty Akimat, the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Embassy of Türkiye, and the Yunus Emre Institute. The project aims to present the cultural heritage of the Kazakh people to an international audience.
The showcase features more than 70 artifacts from Almaty museum collections, including ethnographic objects, works of traditional applied arts, and musical instruments of Kazakh and Turkic peoples. The exhibition is divided into five thematic sections highlighting key elements of culture and tradition.
Kazakhstan and the Netherlands established diplomatic relations on September 10, 1992.
The exhibition will remain open at the Yunus Emre Institute until November 14, 2025.
