The National Library of Kazakhstan and the Manuscript Institute of the Republic of Türkiye held talks on expanding cultural and scientific cooperation. The discussion centered on conservation and restoration efforts for one of the library’s most valuable artifacts—a 12th-century Quran manuscript written in Kufic script.

The parties also addressed joint research initiatives, preservation projects for rare manuscripts, and professional exchanges between restoration experts. The manuscript comprises 770 parchment pages, written in black, red, and gold ink, and decorated with gold medallions. It weighs 5.4 kg and measures 32 × 39.6 cm.

Both sides expressed interest in strengthening their collaboration and moving forward with joint projects aimed at preserving historical heritage.
