Several leading Korean companies are planning joint investment projects in Kazakhstan, focusing on medicine, pharmaceuticals, waste processing, logistics, and geology, QazMonitor reports citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

What happened: On May 24, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nazira Nurbayeva met in Seoul with Chung Byung-won, South Korea's Deputy Minister for Political Affairs, to discuss upcoming events and improve trade and economic cooperation.

Kazakh officials also met with executives from the following major Korean companies:

During the negotiations, the Korean investors were informed about the investment climate in Kazakhstan. Plans for joint projects in medicine, pharmaceuticals, waste processing, logistics, and geology were a key discussion point during these negotiations.
