Kazakhstan's transition to a new development model is increasingly relying on digital technologies as the basic infrastructure of the economy and society. The past year, 2025, dedicated to the working professions, highlighted the priority of occupational safety and the value of human capital, while the Head of State's declaration of 2026 as the Year of Digitalization cemented the strategic course for the country's systemic technological transformation.

In this context, Kazakhstan's company AG TECH focuses on the formation of a holistic ecosystem of digital solutions covering the entire cycle from concept to operation. This approach allows the implementation of technology as a sustainable tool for managing production and infrastructure processes, directly impacting safety and quality of life.

Digitalization of industrial safety

Today, this aspect goes beyond the internal tasks of individual enterprises and becomes a factor of social sustainability. For Kazakhstan, where the mining and metallurgical industries play a key role, the protection of workers' lives and health is directly linked to regional development and social stability.

In these conditions, digital platforms that combine control, management, and analytics into a single system are of particular importance. One such solution is AG TECH's flagship product, the domestic industrial DMMS – Digital Monitoring and Management System.

In 2025, DMMS was implemented and scaled up at a number of key industrial facilities in Kazakhstan, including the enterprises of Kazakhmys Corporation LLP, Qarmet JSC, ShalkiaZinc LTD JSC, and Altynalmas JSC. All projects are in the final stages of implementation and are moving on to the industrial operation phase.

The key focus of the implementation was on DMMS industrial safety modules — positioning, air and gas monitoring, and emergency alert systems. This priority reflects the industry's conscious demand for digital solutions that directly ensure the protection of life and the formation of a modern occupational safety culture.

Control centers

Control and analytical centers are becoming a key tool for managing large industrial and infrastructure systems, providing a unified information space and real-time decision-making.

AG TECH has implemented projects to create the main dispatch and analytical center for KazMunayGas and the dispatch center for the Qarmet Coal Department. Both centers operate on the DMMS system. Today, the company provides comprehensive technical support for them, ensuring stable and uninterrupted operation.

In 2025, work began on the creation of the Presight command center at the Alem.ai international artificial intelligence center in Astana. This project reflects the evolution of control centers from classic monitoring to intelligent management.

Technological sovereignty and industrial initiatives

In the context of the digitalization of the economy, strengthening technological sovereignty is becoming one of the key tasks of national development. For Kazakhstan, this means a transition from importing ready-made solutions to forming its own industrial base.

In 2025, AG TECH initiated projects to localize high-tech production and develop domestic IT infrastructure. Together with xFusion, the creation of a plant for the production and assembly of server equipment in Kazakhstan is being developed. Another strategic initiative was the signing of a memorandum with the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the American company Clearbrook Energy Solutions on the construction of a plant in Kazakhstan for the production of BESS energy storage systems. The project will be an important step in Kazakhstan's energy transition, strengthening energy security and creating a basis for the integration of renewable energy sources.

Recognition

AG TECH's performance in 2025 was highly praised at the national and international levels, confirming the social significance of its projects and their contribution to the country's digital development.

The demonstration of domestic digital solutions to heads of state and government of the region during international events, including Digital Almaty and Almaty Fair AI, highlights Kazakhstan's established potential in the field of digitalization and the development of its own technological platforms.

AG TECH was awarded the Altyn Sapa Prize of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Best Innovative Project category. The founder and CEO of the company, Alexandr Podvalov, was also awarded the Order of Kurmet in recognition of his personal contribution to the development of the technology industry.

“Declaring 2026 the Year of Digitalization is not a goal, but a benchmark. Digital solutions must become an integral part of the country's economy and everyday life, ensuring security, efficiency, and development. Kazakhstan has entered a new stage of modernization, and today it is up to us whether we will be observers of these changes or active participants in them.”
