Kazakh Athlete Remains in Top 5 World’s Strongest Female Judokas Rankings

The International Judo Federation published updated world rankings

Kazakh judokas improved their position in the International Judo Federation’s (IJF) ranking following the Antalya Grand Slam 2023, QazMonitor reports.

Nurkanat Serikbayev (under 60 kg) earned 500 points for winning the bronze medal, moving him 15 positions up in the world rankings and taking 36th place. Magzhan Shamshadin (under 60 kg) and Daniyar Shamshayev (under 73 kg) ranked 15th in their respective weight classes.

According to updated data, Abiba Abuzhakynova ranks fifth in IJF rankings of female judokas under 48 kg, moving one spot down in the rankings. Abuzhakynova ranks highest among the Kazakh national team.
