Thai Food Giants Eye Kazakhstan for Central Asia Exports

Sea Value and Thai President Foods are both planning to establish operations in the country

On April 23, during the official visit to Thailand, Minister of Foreign Affairs Murat Nurtleu met with top management from major companies in Bangkok and discussed prospects of investment cooperation, QazMonitor reports citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Thai President Foods: The Bangkok-based instant noodle manufacturer and distributor, Thai President Foods, is looking at Kazakhstan as a regional logistics hub for supplying its products to the local market and markets across Central Asia and the Eurasian Economic Union.

Sea Value: Thailand’s second-largest canned tuna producer, Sea Value, plans to invest in the Kazakh market. Chanintr Chalisarapong, the company’s Senior Vice President, revealed intentions to set up a distribution center in Kazakhstan, catering to both the local market and other countries in Central Asia.

Really Cool Airlines: An aviation startup, Really Cool Airlines, aims to expand transport links between Kazakhstan and Thailand. CEO Patee Sarasin stated they're arranging flights not just between Astana and Bangkok but also other key cities in both countries.
