Following an attempt on the life of Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico on May 15, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed his strong condemnation, denouncing the act unequivocally as an act of terrorism, QazMonitor reports citing Akorda.
Incident: On May 15, Fico was shot and injured in a shooting in Handlova, Central Slovakia, reports Euronews. He is currently in critical condition, having been airlifted to a nearby hospital, with Slovak police apprehending a suspect.
Kazakhstan and Slovakia have long-standing ties of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation. Prime Minister Robert Fico played a notable role in this noble endeavor.
