Kazpost has been ranked 39th in the latest Universal Postal Union (UPU) global index, which assesses more than 180 countries, the company’s press service reported.
One of the key factors behind the improvement was a reduction in CO₂ emissions, reflecting Kazpost’s commitment to global sustainability and environmental responsibility.
“By advancing ESG principles — environmental, social, and corporate governance — Kazpost is implementing a comprehensive sustainability strategy. This includes a gradual transition to energy-efficient lighting across post offices and logistics centers,” the company stated.
Kazakhstan’s Integrated Index for Postal Development (2IPD) score reached 75.1 points, placing the country among those with highly developed postal systems. The 2IPD evaluates postal performance across four categories: Reliability, Reach, Relevance, and Resilience.
Kazakhstan demonstrated growth across all indicators, achieving particularly strong results in Resilience (97/100) and Delivery Reliability (83.5/100).
For comparison, in the previous ranking Kazakhstan placed 52nd (66.4 points), improving by 13 positions this year.
Integrated Index for Postal Development (2IPD) is an analytical tool developed by the Universal Postal Union to assess performance, digital transformation, sustainability, and readiness for e-commerce among postal operators.
