To mark Republic Day, 196 new facilities are being commissioned across Kazakhstan — from large industrial plants to social, sports, and infrastructure projects. All of them have been implemented as part of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s directives aimed at improving the quality of life and fostering regional development, Primeminister.kz reports.

In the Zhetysu Region, a new production line was launched at the Kainar-AKB plant, which will manufacture industrial batteries for backup power systems. The project is expected to contribute to the regional economy and create new jobs for local residents.

In the Karaganda Region, a private cheese factory named Syr Onimderi began operations in the village of Saken Seifullin in the Shet district. The factory’s founder, local resident and mother of many children Zh. Kantarbayeva, won a grant in 2022 through the “Employment Center” program, receiving 400 MCI (1,225,000 tenge). With these funds, she opened a workshop producing dairy and cheese products. Today, under the FRESHCHEESEZHARYK brand, the factory produces seven types of cheese and other dairy goods.

In the Zhetysu Region, construction of the Taldykorgan–Usharal main gas pipeline was completed ahead of schedule. A ceremonial lighting of gas torches took place at the Usharal automatic gas distribution station, marking the launch of six new stations. The investment project was implemented by the national company QazaqGaz on the instructions of the Head of State.

Construction of the pipeline began in August last year. The project included laying 302.4 kilometers of pipeline, as well as the construction of six branch lines and six automatic distribution stations. As a result, more than 130,000 residents across over 80 settlements in the Aksu, Sarkand, and Alakol districts will gain access to natural gas.

In Taldykorgan, a new landscaped park was completed in the Birlik neighborhood, covering 0.62 hectares. The area features lighting, an automatic irrigation system, a lawn, resting areas with benches, swings, and gazebos, as well as a children’s playground.

In Ekibastuz, the first ferroalloy plant of KazFerroLimited LLP has opened. The facility has a production capacity of up to 60,000 tons per year and is equipped with two modern electric furnaces meeting international environmental and technological standards.

In the Kyzylorda Region, a new facility producing bakery, confectionery, biscuit, and pasta products has begun operations, expanding the region’s food manufacturing capacity.

In total, 196 new facilities are being commissioned for Republic Day across the Akmola, Abai, Almaty, Atyrau, East Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, Zhetysu, West Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Kostanay, Kyzylorda, Mangystau, Pavlodar, North Kazakhstan, and Turkistan regions, as well as in the cities of Astana, Almaty, and Shymkent. These include new schools, kindergartens, healthcare facilities, roads, sports complexes, engineering infrastructure, manufacturing enterprises, and landscaping projects.

It should be noted that October 25 marks Republic Day in Kazakhstan — a holiday symbolizing the moment the country first declared its right to independent development. On this day in 1990, the Declaration of State Sovereignty of the Kazakh SSR was adopted, forming the foundation for future independence and the creation of national political and economic institutions.
