A Drone Competence Center has opened at the Almaty Multiprofile College, the Ministry of Education of Kazakhstan reports.

The center was established to train modern technical specialists and introduce innovative educational programs.

A new course titled “Operation and Programming of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles” will soon be launched, allowing students to gain skills in drone design, assembly, operation, and maintenance.

The project’s partners include the International Center for Education and Innovation and China’s Zhongke Borui Education Technology Research Institute.

According to Aset Mukhanbetov, Director of the Department of Technical and Vocational Education at the Ministry of Education, the project is an important step in advancing engineering education and serves as an example of effective international collaboration in innovation.

The center will also focus on developing practical skills in robotics, aerial photography, and 3D cartography, as well as organizing international training sessions, workshops, and drone competitions.
