As part of Finnish President Alexander Stubb’s official visit to Kazakhstan, 15 documents have been signed, QazMonitor reports citing Akorda.
Among them:
1. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Atomic Energy Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority of the Republic of Finland (STUK) on cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy;
2. MoU between the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Finland on water resources management;
3. MoU between the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Finnish Water Forum, and the Kazakh National University of Water and Irrigation on developing research and educational capacity in the field of digitalization and water resources management;
4. A Memorandum of Cooperation in tourism development at the Burabay resort;
5. A Declaration of Intent between the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Finnish Water Forum on localizing the production of online automated environmental monitoring systems (AMS) for hydrometeorological and agricultural observations;
6. MoU on the development of an eco-friendly wooden housing project in Kazakhstan;
7. A Memorandum of Cooperation on oil spill response and maritime operations support between Tengiz Jasaǵy JSC and Lamor Corporation Plc, along with other important agreements.
