The Kazakh delegation led by Deputy Minister of Industry and Construction Olzhas Saparbekov met with representatives of Deutsche Bahn AG, one of Germany’s largest railway companies. The German side was headed by Torsten Latz, Senior Vice President for Rolling Stock and Spare Parts Procurement.

The meeting focused on the potential participation of Kazakh enterprises in Deutsche Bahn’s supply chain. The parties discussed certification procedures required for market entry, including audits of production processes, material quality checks, and compliance of quality management systems with international standards. They also addressed pilot testing and experience exchange in warranty services and logistics.

Olzhas Saparbekov emphasized that the development of export-oriented engineering is among Kazakhstan’s industrial policy priorities. He noted the readiness of local enterprises to modernize production lines, implement European standards, and work closely with Deutsche Bahn experts during certification and pilot project phases.

Deutsche Bahn representatives expressed interest in finding reliable suppliers and confirmed their willingness to provide advisory support during site assessments and product testing, stressing the importance of strict safety and quality standards.

Following the talks, two memorandums of cooperation were signed between Prommashkomplekt LLP and Railways Systems Holding LLP with DB Engineering & Consulting. The documents outline joint projects, technical and managerial expertise exchange, and pilot deliveries to confirm product compliance with Deutsche Bahn’s standards.

The agreements aim to integrate Kazakh companies into international production and logistics chains, strengthen the export potential of the non-resource sector, and reinforce Kazakhstan’s image as a reliable industrial partner.
