Vice Minister of Agriculture Ermek Kenzhekhanuly held a meeting with representatives of China’s Hopefull Grain & Oil Group to discuss the construction of a deep-processing grain facility in the Akmola region.

The company will invest $1.5 billion in a high-tech agro-industrial complex applying environmentally friendly technologies. The project will be implemented in two stages: the first includes building a CHP plant to generate renewable energy, and the second involves launching production of citric acid, glucose-fructose syrups, bioethanol, and feed protein concentrates.

The project follows agreements reached at KGIR-2025, where the Akmola regional administration and Hopefull Grain & Oil Group signed a strategic framework agreement. The company is also considering establishing an industrial park with full infrastructure.

Project head in Kazakhstan Yao Yao expressed gratitude for the support and reaffirmed long-term plans in the agricultural sector.
