On November 14, the 13th Congress of Financiers of Kazakhstan was held in Almaty, organized by the National Bank in collaboration with the Association of Financiers and the Financial Market Regulation and Development Agency. The event was attended by heads of central banks from Russia, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, and Belarus.

Elena Bakhmutova, Chair of the Board of the Association of Financiers of Kazakhstan, emphasized the importance of regular expert dialogue amid the transformation of the financial sector. According to her, Kazakhstan, as a rapidly developing financial center in Eurasia, strives to be at the forefront of these processes.

"The main theme of our Congress—the development of the financial market in the era of digitalization and artificial intelligence—requires not only professional expertise, but also strategic thinking. We are faced with the task of integrating new technologies into regulatory practice, ensuring cybersecurity, developing digital currencies, and creating conditions for sustainable growth."

 Bakhmutova emphasized.

Timur Suleimenov, Chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, noted that the financial market is currently undergoing a full-fledged digital transformation. Addressing the Congress participants, the head of the regulator congratulated representatives of the country's financial sector on their professional holiday, outlined the regulator's main priorities for the current period, and focused separately on issues related to the development of the financial market's digital ecosystem.

"Our country, as part of the open global economy, and our financial market are also undergoing a full-fledged digital transformation. Today, digitalization is not just a trend. The National Bank has become the core of this transformation: our infrastructure supports the entire non-cash ecosystem of the country, from the digital tenge platform and the interbank mobile transfer system to Open API and the National Anti-Fraud Center."

 said Suleimenov.

During plenary and thematic sessions, participants discussed the impact of global and domestic factors on monetary policy, financial stability, and trust in institutions, as well as the insurance market dynamics, measures to improve product accessibility, and sector competitiveness. Special attention was given to preventive client protection and tools for supporting entrepreneurship.
