Kazakhstan has expanded its presence on the UN’s official infrastructure maps following the Sixth Meeting of the Working Group on Dry Ports of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), held in Bangkok, Thailand.
Following the session, two Kazakh facilities — Dostyk Trans Terminal and GLOBAL CITY trade and logistics complex — were added to the list of dry ports under the Intergovernmental Agreement on Dry Ports of ESCAP.
The decision opens new opportunities for strengthening Kazakhstan’s transit and logistics potential and further integrating the country into regional and global transport networks.
