Kazakhstan will produce more than 356 medicines and pharmaceutical products at four enterprises, QazMonitor reports, citing the press service of the Government of Kazakhstan. The pharmaceutical plants are expected to manufacture medicines for the treatment of oncological diseases and diabetes, as well as immunobiological, antiviral, anti-anemia, pain-relief, anti-inflammatory, cold and antimicrobial drugs.

The Government has approved the conclusion of investment agreements between the Ministry of Health and the following companies: AltINFARM LLP, MSP-ROMPHARM LLP, Abdi Ibrahim Global Pharm LLP, and Nobel Almaty Pharmaceutical Factory JSC, aimed at the localization of pharmaceutical production.

Under the AltINFARM LLP project, the company plans to produce 54 medicines, including 35 socially significant drugs. These will primarily include immunobiological products, as well as medicines for the treatment of cancer and diabetes.

As part of the Nobel Almaty Pharmaceutical Factory JSC project, a pharmaceutical complex will be built in Almaty for the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients, medicines, and biopharmaceutical products in compliance with international GMP standards. The plant plans to produce 53 medicines, including 17 socially significant drugs.

Within the framework of the Abdi Ibrahim Global Pharm LLP project, a pharmaceutical complex with multi-profile production lines will be established in Almaty Region. The project envisages the production of 76 medicines, including antiviral drugs, medicines for the treatment of type 2 diabetes, and anti-anemia drugs.

As part of the implementation of the investment projects, more than 670 new jobs will be created.
