A large multifunctional sports and cultural complex in Kokshetau is nearing completion as part of a presidential initiative to expand social infrastructure. For its construction, a total of 12.6 billion tenge has been allocated from a special state fund.

The facility will feature halls for boxing, wrestling, weightlifting, and cross-training, equipped to Olympic standards, enabling both national and international competitions. The complex will also include two football fields, throwing areas, multipurpose and training zones, and athletics tracks, with accessibility features for people with limited mobility.

A universal hall with a climbing wall and a tower for fire-rescue training will also open, providing practice space for cadets of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Academy. A 650-seat hall will host cultural and public events.

Core construction is completed, with interior finishing and landscaping underway. The project is 85% complete and scheduled for commissioning by year-end. The complex will improve access to year-round sports facilities and promote healthy lifestyles among residents.
