World Boxing has recognized Kazakhstan’s athletes as the best of the year following a public vote on Instagram.
Makhmud Sabyrkhan was named Best Boxer of 2025, while Natalya Bogdanova won the title of Best Female Boxer. The Best Fight of 2025 was awarded to the bout between Makhmud Sabyrkhan and Aaron Jude of the Philippines.
Winners in all three categories were determined by the number of likes on posts published on World Boxing’s official Instagram account. Sabyrkhan’s post received more than 320,000 likes, the highest result among all nominees.
Earlier in 2025, both Sabyrkhan and Bogdanova won gold at the first World Boxing Championship. In November, Kazakhstan’s boxing legend Gennady Golovkin was elected president of World Boxing.
