Kazakhstan’s men’s tennis team leader Alexander Bublik has won the ATP 250 Hong Kong tournament, QazMonitor reports.
Bublik claimed the singles title after defeating Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti in the final.
The decisive match ended in straight sets, 7:6, 6:3, securing the championship trophy for the Kazakh athlete.
Bublik set a historic record – by winning the tournament in Hong Kong, he became the first Kazakhstani to enter the top 10 of the ATP world rankings in men's singles.
The victory in Hong Kong was Alexander's ninth in ATP tournaments.
