Kazakhstan to face Monaco in Davis Cup playoffs

On February 6 and 7, 2026, Astana will host playoff matches of the Davis Cup World Group I between the national teams of Kazakhstan and Monaco, QazMonitor reports.

The winner will remain in the world group and compete in September 2026 for a place in the qualification round for the 2027 Davis Cup Finals. The two teams will meet for the first time in history.

Match details

The matches will take place at the Beeline Arena National Tennis Center in Astana on an indoor hard court (GreenSet Comfort).

The tie will follow the standard Davis Cup format with five matches in total – four singles and one doubles – all played best of three sets.

Team lineups

Kazakhstan: Alexander Bublik, Alexander Shevchenko, Beibit Zhukayev, Timofey Skatov, Denis Yevseyev.

Monaco: Valentin Vacherot, Leonardo Ljubicic, Romain Arneodo, Benjamin Balleret, Hugo Nys.

Schedule

February 6 (Friday), 3:00 pm – two singles matches

February 7 (Saturday), 2:00 pm – doubles match and two singles matches

Tickets and broadcast

Tickets are available on Kino.kz, with prices starting from 4,000 tenge. Live broadcasts will be shown on Qazsport, Setanta Qazaqstan, and Qsport.

Kazakhstan, ranked 31st in the Davis Cup Nations Ranking, is considered the favorite against Monaco, which is ranked 44th, largely due to home-court advantage and the higher team ranking.
