The competitive costume of Kazakh figure skater Mikhail Shaidorov has been included among the top fashion looks of the 2026 Winter Olympics, QazMonitor reports.
The online edition of Vogue Italia described the Milano 2026 Winter Games as among the most fashionable in recent history and published a selection of the most memorable athlete outfits.
The list features uniforms noted for distinctive design, color schemes and stylistic choices. The editors highlighted not only apparel but also accessories.
Among those featured was Shaidorov’s short program costume.
“Mikhail Shaidorov of Team Kazakhstan surprised audiences with a look reminiscent of Timothée Chalamet in the Dune universe. Draped, gradient fabric elements contrasting with the rest of the costume evoke the aesthetic on the edge of an apocalyptic and futuristic world seen in Denis Villeneuve’s films,” the publication wrote.
The review also included outfits worn by Ilia Malinin (USA), Petr Gumennik (Russia), the duo Madison Chock and Evan Bates (USA), Stephen Gogolev (Canada), Lara Naki Gutmann (Italy), and the French pair Laurence Fournier Beaudry and Guillaume Cizeron.
