From October 24 to 30, 2025, the Jibek Joly 6.0 tourist train embarked on another journey, celebrating Republic Day.
The project is organized in partnership with Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports and the Republican Association “Kazakhstan Tourism Industry.” The operator is Khan Turan Travel.
The route connects the cities of Almaty, Turkistan, Otyrar, Samarkand, Bukhara, Tashkent, and back to Almaty — offering a unique combination of comfortable rail travel, an immersive sightseeing program, and an introduction to Central Asian culture.
This year, tourists from Turkey, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Hungary, Belarus, Germany, and the United States joined the route.
The itinerary includes visits to UNESCO World Heritage sites, the ancient city of Otyrar, the Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, excursions in Samarkand, Bukhara, and Tashkent, as well as master classes and theatrical performances.
The Jibek Joly project enhances Kazakhstan’s reputation as a hub of historical heritage and fosters the growth of cultural and sustainable tourism throughout the region.
