The Burabay resort has officially launched its winter season under the new “Magic Burabay” concept, QazMonitor reports, citing the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
As part of the winter program, new visitor services have been introduced. Information points are now operating at Khan Shatyr shopping center and Astana International Airport, while a visitor center has opened at Shchuchinsk railway station. These facilities provide information on winter activities, events, and travel options.
Key winter locations include the Zhumbaktas rock, the resort’s visitor center, Burabay village’s central square, and “Kazakhstan’s Lapland.” The sites feature ice rinks, snow slides, photo zones, and family activities, as well as themed excursions with Santa Claus, reindeer, and huskies.
The winter season also includes sports and entertainment events such as a ski race, the Burabay Ice run, and a winter fishing festival. A New Year-themed carriage has been launched on the Astana–Kokshetau train route ahead of the holiday season.
