Turkiye’s Mediterranean resort city of Antalya received more than 17 million tourists in 2025, closing the year with record results, QazMonitor reports, citing data from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkiye.

Compared to the previous year, the number of foreign visitors to Antalya increased by 1.17%, indicating stable growth. Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy wrote on the social media platform NSosyal that the resort once again confirmed its status as the tourism capital of the Mediterranean.

According to the ministry, 88,479 tourists from Kazakhstan visited Turkiye in the first quarter of 2025 alone. Last March, 33,193 Kazakh citizens traveled to the country for holidays.

Data from the UN World Tourism Organization show that in 2024 Turkiye ranked as the world’s fourth most popular tourist destination, welcoming more than 62 million visitors.

Outbound travel from Kazakhstan also continued growing. Between January and September 2025, approximately 920,000 Kazakh citizens traveled abroad. Turkiye remained the leading destination, accounting for 184,620 trips during that period. Vietnam ranked second with about 73,000 visitors from Kazakhstan, followed by Egypt with 62,412 trips.
